PROPERTIES OF SEALING PRODUTS MATERIAL

NAMECODECHARACTERISTICSTEMPERATUREAPPLICATION
Nitrile - Butadiene RubberNBRNBR has good technological parameters, high wear resistance, low gas permeability and good resistance to mineral oil-based lubricating oils and greases, hydraulic oils, highly non-flammable hydraulic oils (HFA, HFB, HFCsilicone oils and greases, water with temperatures up to about 80 °C. NBR is generally not resistant to polar solvents, glycol-based brake fluids and highly non-flammable hydraulic fluids HFD.

It has low resistance to ozone, weathering and aging. In most hydraulic applications, this has no effect because the hydraulic seal is internally mounted in the hydraulic component.

-30/+120℃NBR is often used in the hydraulic field due to its good mechanical properties and resistance to mineral oil-based lubricating oils and greases.
Fluoroel astomerFKM

FKM is a fluorocarbon elastomer with high thermal and chemical resistance. Its broad-spectrum resistance is relatively good. It is resistant to compression and is not easily deformed, even at high temperatures.

-20/+200℃

FKM is known especially for its low gas permeability and excellent ozone resistance, weather resistance and aging resistance.

PolyurethanePU

PU materials display higher mechanical strength, high wear resistance, extrusion resistance, high-pressure load capacity, and high tear resistance and elongation. It also has good flexibility and very good aging and ozone resistance.

-45+110℃

PU materials are applied to mineral oils and greases, hydraulic oils, silicone oils, greases, highly non-flammable hydraulic fluids HFA and HFB and water with the temperature up to 50°C.

Fabric Reinforcement RubberFAB

FAB has high wear resistance, good low temperature resistance and high-pressure load and extrusion resistance. Furthermore, the hydraulic rubber seal is very dimensionally stable and has a low tendency to swell in the hydraulic medium.

-30/+100℃

It is often used in harsh conditions such as mobile hydraulics or other heavy-duty conditions.

Silicone RubberPMQ or VMQ

PMQ has excellent heat resistance, cold flexibility, dielectric properties, weather resistance, ozone resistance and UV resistance. It does not apply to oil-based liquids.

-60/+230℃

Food and cryogenic engineering.

Polyacrylate RubberACM

ACM exhibits excellent resistance to ozone, weathering and hot air, although it only has moderate physical strength, low elasticity and relatively limited low temperature resistance.

-20/+150℃

ACM materials are mainly used in the automotive industry and require special resistance to lubricants containing many additives (incl. sulfur) at a high temperature.

Ethylene Propylene Diene RubberEPDM or EPM

EPDM has good heat resistance, ozone resistance and aging resistance. In addition, it has a high level of elasticity, good low temperature resistance and good insulation.

-50/+150℃EPDM is commonly used for brake fluid (based on glycol) and hot water applications.
Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene RubberHNBR

HNBR has good mechanical performance. HNBR has an operating temperature range from -30°C to + 140°C (up to over 160 °C in a short time) for mineral oils. Special types have that of - 40 °C.

-30/+140℃

It is mainly used in mineral oil at high temperature.

Chloroprene RubberCR

Neoprene CR materials have relatively good resistance to ozone, weathering, chemicals and aging. They also exhibit good non-combustibility, good mechanical properties and cold flexibility.

-30~+100℃

The material can be used in sealing applications such as refrigerants and is suitable for outdoor applications.

Polytetrafluor oethylenePTFE

PTFE has almost universal chemical resistance, very low coefficient of friction for good sliding effects, no stick-slip effect, exceptional rigidity and perfect ozone and weather resistance and aging resistance. PTFE is virtually unaffected by all hydraulic media, lubricants, chemicals and solvents. PTFE is non-flammable and therefore poses no additional hazard in the event of a fire. Pure PTFE has the disadvantage of cold flow or creeping under pressure load. These disadvantages are counteracted by the use of a sealing compound mixed with the filler.

-55~+260℃

Pure PTFE is especially suitable for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications. PTFE has no elasticity or only slight elasticity. Thus, the PTFE sealing element is activated by an elastic excitation element in the form of an O-ring or a stainless steel spring. For example, bronze-filled compounds allow PTFE to be adapted to most application conditions.

NylonPA

PA has good wear resistance. Increasing the tolerance of housing can meet the needs of absorption and volume changes.

-40~+120℃

PA is a high molecular polyamide that can economically produce large elements for large bearings and support rings.

Polyoxymethyl enePOM

POM has excellent sliding performance, especially in the dry running range of bearing components. Its material is tough and it maintains good shape stability at different temperatures. Its chemical structure also makes it highly resistant to various fluids with low water absorption.

-40~+140℃

It is especially suitable for applications that require a guide ring and a support ring.

Utra High Molecular Weight PolyethyleneUH-PE

UH-PE has excellent wear resistance.

-160~ +100℃

It is especially suitable for applications with guide rings and support rings.

Phenolic Resin with Fabric ReinforcementC380 or C932

C380 or C932 has the best combination of materials (fabric/resin) and has a long product life, high resilience, low friction and very high contact pressure (load capacity). When used in water, it does not have moisture swell or measurable water absorption.

-60~ +120℃

It is suitable for high load and shear hydraulic applications such as heavy-duty wear-resistant rings application.
